Payment Structure

  1. When The Treatment Factory shares a proposal with the client, the client agrees to green-light such proposal in writing via email should the client wish to proceed with the project.

  2. Thereafter, when The Treatment Factory shares an invoice marking 50% non-refundable down-payment in writing via email with the client, the client agrees to make that payment to kick-start the work process. No work will commence until the down-payment is received on The Treatment Factory’s end.

  3. When the Treatment Factory shares the semi-finished treatment with the client, the client agrees to share a consolidated feedback with The Treatment Factory in writing via email within the week. The Treatment Factory agrees to implement such feedback to the client’s liking, and make the final treatment document available for the client to view within two business days. At this point, an additional 25% is due for payment.

  4. When the final treatment document has been shared with the client, the client agrees to pay the remaining 25% (and any possible lingering add-ons) to gain full access to and ownership of the final treatment document. The Treatment Factory agrees to share all project assets with the client via WeTransfer once the second payment has been received.

  5. The fees for any add-ons are payable immediately, in full, as they are mostly outsourced.

Full Pay, Regardless

The prices shared on our proposals are final and payable according to the terms herewith regardless of the outcome of the client’s pitch. More on why that is on the FAQs page.

Resources Needed

To avoid delays, the client agrees to share all material, scripts, images and footage (if any) along with the initial down-payment. This enables The Treatment Factory to integrate the client’s development work into the treatment (and possibly trailer). Our treatments need to integrate the same DNA as the client’s assets to come out aligned with the client’s intended vision.

Scope

Our prices assume a project duration of maximum five weeks, notwithstanding add-ons. Beyond that, The Treatment Factory considers any extension to be a “scope-creep”. Each extra week or part of a week will incur an additional €1000 that the client agrees to pay. The client will be notified in writing via e-mail as the project approaches the three-week mark. The Treatment Factory ultimately aims to avoid this scenario; we’re seeking to produce quality work within a fast turn-around, avoiding long segments of indecision or stalemates.

New Asks

Should the client develop an interest in any new deliverable such as an add-on mid-project, the client agrees to share that with The Treatment Factory in writing via email. Once we align, The Treatment Factory agrees to share an updated timeline & scope with the client. Fees for add-ons are always payable immediately in full.

Rushed Deliveries

Should the client require a treatment or any add-on be delivered in a rushed fashion (next day delivery), the treatment price goes up by a factor of x1.25

Cancellation

The client agrees to forego the initial 50% deposit of any project, should the client wish to cancel, halt or terminate that project at any point before conclusion. The deposit is non-refundable. Should the cancellation happen after our feedback call (Step 4), the client is obliged to pay the additional 25% of the total price as well. The Treatment Factory commits to share incomplete work and work-in-progress with the client in that scenario.

Publishing

The client agrees that the treatments created by The Treatment Factory for any project can be used in full or in part by Amr Assaid for promotional purposes online, especially on thetreatmentfactory.com as case study examples. If the client has any reservations against that, it should be stated in writing via email before the commencement of any respective project.
